Ramona Lee
Ramona Lee is an American Artist and public educator in South Seattle.
Working across painting, clay, and digital media, Lee’s recent pieces examine how worry, care, and perception move from one body to another. Her ongoing series Worry from one eye to the other positions the gaze as both a conduit and a burden, tracing the quiet transfer of emotion between subjects. Lee’s work is currently featured in A Maternal Gaze, on view April 22 – May 31 at Columbia City Gallery in Seattle, alongside Miwa Gardner. The exhibition considers care, tension, and generational presence through layered figuration and material sensitivity. Lee continues to develop new large-scale paintings and sculptural forms that expand on these themes within her studio at Equinox.
