We are braving the cold (and possible snow?) to throw open our studio doors for anyone who wants to join us! As always, there will be fires burning, music performers crooning and artists art-ing!

Bring your warm smiles and happy faces and let's start this year off right with some mischief and creative fun!

A Soundtrack for the Art Attack!

Tune your cellphone radio dial to DJ Luscious Leopard Lips' live artwalk online broadcast from Equinox Studio, sometimes at the Factory outside the Iron Monkeys Studio (under the golden egg) and in 2024 sometimes at the Equinox Outpost at the newly opened Rose/Ferrell Studio (5516 4th Ave. S.).

A fixture at Georgetown's 2nd Saturday Art Attack artwalk since 2009 at Illumination Studio and Equinox Studios, DJ Luscious spins an unusually eclectic mix which often includes live theremin. Details and event post at https://dj3l.mixlr.com.

DJ3L began performing at artwalks in 2004 at the 619 Western Ave. art colony at several studios over 9 years. Shortly thereafter, DJ3L was introduced to a theremin, and has included live theremin performances on most artwalk gigs. 2020 brought the innovation of broadcasting the live sets over the internet, creating a hybrid in-person and live broadcast experience.

DJ3L's musical tastes are eclectic, and one artwalk set can contain selections from ambient new age, electronic, lounge and exotica, singer-songwriters, 60s and 70s pop, and most anything else as the mood strikes. Like life, serendipity keeps life interesting.

Look for DJ Luscious this month at the newly-opened Rose/Ferrell Studio in The Outpost on 4th Avenue (5516 4th Ave. S.). If it turns out they decide not to open due to the weather, he will be setting up at the Factory building. Either way, you will find him making sonic magic!
